PP impact copolymer
Hifax EP3080

Natural
Description
Hifax EP3080 is a reactor-made polypropylene impact copolymer produced using Catalloy technology, offering very high impact strength with an elongation at break of 500% and a flexural modulus of 900 MPa at a low density of 0.89 g/cm³. Designed for painted automotive bumpers, side cladding, and dashboard skins, Hifax EP3080 combines elastomeric toughness with full polyolefin recyclability and weight savings over conventional TPO blends.
Processing Techniques
Compounding and injection moulding are the primary conversion routes for Hifax EP3080, which requires no additional off-line blending with PP thanks to its reactor-made alloy structure. With an MFR of 7.5 g/10 min, Hifax EP3080 fills large automotive moulds reliably, and its easy-to-blend pellet form also suits sheet extrusion and thermoforming processes.
