PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP340M

Natural
Description
Moplen EP340M is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with an MFR of 7.5 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1050 MPa, and a notched Charpy impact strength of 45 kJ/m² at 23°C, offering exceptional toughness for consumer and industrial applications. Moplen EP340M is UL-listed under file E31765, making it suitable for components requiring recognised flammability ratings, alongside typical uses in housewares, luggage, cold-storage crates, and toys. Its nucleated structure enables faster demoulding and improved surface quality, while the 9 kJ/m² Charpy at 0°C confirms reliable low-temperature impact for Moplen EP340M.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP340M, and the nucleation package delivers faster cycle times compared to non-nucleated alternatives. Moplen EP340M processes well at barrel temperatures of 200–240°C, with the 7.5 g/10 min MFR providing comfortable filling of multi-cavity houseware and crate moulds. This grade also serves as an effective base material for technical compounding operations targeting consumer-goods or industrial end uses.
