PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP140R

Natural
Description
Moplen EP140R is a medium-flow polypropylene impact copolymer with an MFR of 22 g/10 min and a density of 0.89 g/cm³, designed to deliver exceptional low-temperature impact performance for automotive compounding. With a tensile modulus of 600 MPa and a flexural modulus of 650 MPa, Moplen EP140R provides the softer, more ductile base resin that formulators need when building compounds for interior and exterior vehicle trim. Genesis Polymers offers Moplen EP140R in natural pellet form, ready for direct compounding or injection moulding.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding and compounding are the primary processing routes for Moplen EP140R, and its 22 g/10 min flow rate ensures easy filling of complex automotive tool geometries. When compounding Moplen EP140R with talc, glass fibre, or elastomer modifiers, barrel temperatures of 200–240°C typically deliver optimal melt quality. The high elongation at break (100%) makes this grade forgiving during part ejection and secondary operations.
