PP homopolymer
Purell HP548N

Natural
Description
Purell HP548N is a nucleated polypropylene homopolymer with long-term antistatic performance, a tensile modulus of 1800 MPa, and an MFR of 11 g/10 min, formulated specifically for pharmaceutical packaging and medical device applications. Outperforming standard PP grades in stiffness, Purell HP548N is used for vials, pill strips, syringe plungers, and rigid healthcare containers where dimensional precision and surface aesthetics are critical. Its ball indentation hardness of 71 MPa and Charpy notched impact of 4.0 kJ/m² provide the structural integrity that demanding healthcare applications require.
Processing Techniques
Injection molding is the primary process for Purell HP548N, where its nucleated crystallization kinetics deliver shorter cycle times and improved productivity compared to non-nucleated alternatives. The antistatic properties of Purell HP548N persist over time, reducing dust attraction on pharmaceutical packaging and simplifying cleanroom handling. Purell HP548N offers excellent rheological behavior for injection molding, producing parts with good aesthetics and consistent wall thickness across multi-cavity tooling.
