AdvyForm H0402 is a natural, multimodal high-density polyethylene (HDPE) compound for cable jacketing, conduit and wire insulation. It contains a robust additive package for thermal stabilisation.
Description
AdvyForm H0402 is a natural, multimodal, broad molecular weight high-density polyethylene (HDPE) compound designed for jacketing, conduit and wire insulation. It contains a robust additive package for thermal stabilisation. The TDS states that it meets the requirements of ASTM D3350, with cell classification PE-435406A. Listed attributes include good electrical properties, good thermal stability, high elongation and high environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). Typical values include melt flow rates of 0.3 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg) and 1.1 g/10 min (190 °C/5.0 kg), a density of 0.95 g/cm³ and ESCR above 2000 h (ASTM D1693).
Processing Techniques
The TDS gives recommended melt temperatures of 190 °C to 230 °C. It lists no processing method, so confirm the conversion route with Genesis Polymers. Determine processing conditions for the intended application and required properties.
