AdvyForm
Description
AdvyForm is Velogy's polymer family for demanding applications. Genesis Polymers Europe supplies AdvyForm polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) for requirements such as high stiffness, impact resistance, transparency, controlled flow, stress crack resistance and very low gel content.
AdvyForm brings several material technologies together under one name. The required performance may come from polymer structure, catalyst technology, molecular weight distribution or a specific additive package. Each grade should be selected against its own technical profile and application requirements.
The rebranding of established Velogy materials changes their names while retaining their properties and specifications. Genesis Polymers Europe can support grade identification and access to the corresponding documentation.
Polypropylene (PP)
AdvyForm PP includes homopolymers, random copolymers, impact copolymers and metallocene-catalysed materials. The range supports rigid and flexible packaging, automotive and technical compounds, consumer goods, caps and closures, film, fibres and nonwovens.
High-crystallinity PP for stiffness and heat resistance
High-crystallinity polypropylene offers increased rigidity for applications where conventional PP does not meet the mechanical requirement. Selected nucleated grades also support controlled crystallisation, dimensional stability and efficient moulding cycles.
AdvyForm P1330 is a nucleated, high-crystallinity homopolymer featuring very high crystallinity, high rigidity and high gloss for rigid packaging, lids, closures, housewares, garden furniture and technical parts. Its tensile modulus of 2300 MPa and MFR of 20 g/10 min at 230 °C/2.16 kg make it an option where stiffness is a primary design driver.
AdvyForm E1201 is a high-crystallinity impact copolymer for compounding, combining a tensile modulus of 1600 MPa with an MFR of 18 g/10 min. Impact copolymer AdvyForm E1241 offers a tensile modulus of 1750 MPa at the same MFR, supporting rigid packaging, electronics housings and selected applications that would otherwise use talc-reinforced PP. Whether it can replace a filled compound depends on the complete part specification.
AdvyForm R0740 (3 g/10 min) is a nucleated high-crystallinity PP homopolymer for film, sheet and thermoforming. It combines stiffness, transparency and gloss for transparent food containers, hot-fill containers and other articles requiring dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. The grade's polymer type is defined by its technical description, rather than inferred from the letter in its name.
Impact copolymers for automotive and consumer products
AdvyForm E1031 and AdvyForm E1080 are impact copolymers for automotive compounding and injection moulding, including bumper applications. Both have an MFR of 7.5 g/10 min at 230 °C/2.16 kg. Their toughness (65 kJ/m² Charpy notched at 23 °C) makes them relevant where a more impact-resistant PP base is required.
AdvyForm E0660 is a nucleated impact copolymer for automotive battery cases and related components, combining low-temperature impact performance (6 kJ/m² Charpy notched at −20 °C) with heat-ageing resistance. It should be selected for its automotive specification rather than assumed to carry food-contact suitability.
AdvyForm E1232 is a nucleated, medium-flow impact copolymer for crates, housewares and opaque containers where low-temperature toughness matters (5 kJ/m² Charpy notched at −20 °C). AdvyForm E1530 provides a higher-flow option (48 g/10 min) for housewares and opaque injection-moulded containers, with a balance of stiffness and impact performance.
Random copolymers for clear mouldings and packaging
AdvyForm R0532 supports clear bottles, sheet extrusion and thermoforming (1.8 g/10 min) where transparency, gloss and stiffness are important. AdvyForm R0530 is another option for blow moulding, sheet and thermoformed containers. AdvyForm R1341 is a nucleated random copolymer PP for improved productivity (25 g/10 min) and good optical properties (transparency and brilliance). Its antistatic additivation helps prevent dust deposits and eases demoulding. AdvyForm R1341 supports injection-moulded closures, lids and housewares; AdvyForm R1640 provides higher flow (60 g/10 min) for transparent thin-wall mouldings.
AdvyForm R1441 is a high-flow (40 g/10 min) random copolymer with nucleation and antistatic additivation for transparent thin-wall packaging. It combines optical and organoleptic performance for applications where appearance and low odour or taste influence are important.
PP film for lamination, retort and flexible packaging
AdvyForm E0400 is a PP impact copolymer for blown and cast film (0.95 g/10 min). It combines impact, puncture and tear resistance with seal strength and integrity. Applications include food packaging, lamination and freezer films, including structures intended for retorting.
AdvyForm R0500 is a random copolymer for blown film, sheet and blow-moulded bottles, with applications in food and shrink packaging, thermoformed containers and wire and cable.
AdvyForm R1002 and AdvyForm R1052 are random copolymers for cast film with clarity, gloss and sealability. Applications include food packaging, stationery and textile packaging. AdvyForm R1052 contains slip and antiblocking additives, making additive selection an important difference between the two grades.
The wider cast-film range includes AdvyForm R1000, R1001, R1050 and R1051, providing additional options for packaging converters. Suitability for a particular retort cycle depends on the selected grade and complete film structure.
Metallocene PP for thin-wall moulding and high-flow applications
Metallocene catalyst technology provides a narrow molecular weight distribution, supporting controlled flow and dimensional performance. AdvyForm M1640 is a nucleated, antistatic metallocene PP for thin-wall injection moulding, including food packaging cups, lids and closures, cosmetics and personal-care containers. It combines high stiffness and transparency with low warpage and good organoleptic properties. Its MFR is 60 g/10 min at 230 °C/2.16 kg.
AdvyForm M1900 is a high-flow metallocene PP for injection moulding and compounding, with an MFR of 150 g/10 min. AdvyForm M1900 combines high stiffness with good organoleptic properties and low warpage.
AdvyForm P2310 is an ultra-high-flow PP homopolymer for meltblown nonwovens, filtration, hygiene and related applications. Its MFR is approximately 1500 g/10 min at 230 °C/2.16 kg. AdvyForm P2110 and P2210 provide additional high-flow options. These grades extend the selection beyond the conventional moulding and extrusion range.
AdvyForm M2309 provides an ultra-high-flow option at 1800 g/10 min for compounding and masterbatch applications. It is a homopolymer with a very high melt flow rate and a very narrow molecular weight distribution, suitable for meltblown fibres and compounding extrusion applications. It is supplied as a free-flowing, low-dust granule (flake) and contains no peroxide or peroxide decomposition by-products. It is a low gas-fading product. Discuss meltblown processing requirements and the current grade recommendation with Genesis Polymers Europe.
PP for compounds and masterbatches
AdvyForm P0309 is an unstabilised PP homopolymer for mineral-filled compounds, colour concentrates and additive masterbatches. The supplier portfolio notes better dispersion in compounding. The compounder adds the stabilisation and additive package required for the finished material; the formulation determines its final processing and performance characteristics.
High-density polyethylene (HDPE)
AdvyForm HDPE addresses industrial packaging, caps and closures, and pipe applications with specific performance requirements. Depending on the grade, priorities include environmental stress crack resistance, stiffness, organoleptic properties or long-term performance at elevated temperatures.
Multimodal HDPE combines molecular fractions serving different functions: lower molecular weight supports processing, while higher molecular weight contributes toughness and crack resistance. The balance is selected for the application and should not be generalised to every polyethylene grade.
Industrial packaging
AdvyForm H0202 is designed for larger jerry cans and drums up to 60 litres, including packaging for dangerous goods. AdvyForm H0200 supports jerry cans and lightweight industrial packaging where stiffness and stress crack resistance must be balanced. Finished packaging requires its own design assessment and applicable approval.
Caps, closures and collapsible tubes
AdvyForm H0800 offers ESCR and organoleptic performance for beverage closures, including sparkling water, and collapsible tube applications. AdvyForm H0780 provides another option for closures and tube components. Its density is 0.954 g/cm³ and its MFR is 1.45 g/10 min at 190 °C/2.16 kg.
For dedicated healthcare HDPE closures and packaging, see CertyForm H0700 and the CertyForm range.
PE-RT Type II pipe
AdvyForm H0260 is an HDPE grade for polyethylene of raised temperature resistance (PE-RT Type II) pipe applications, including underfloor heating, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, and multilayer pipe constructions. It provides high melt viscosity for extrusion and a balance of flexibility, toughness and long-term pressure performance without a crosslinking step.
The grade has a density of 0.947 g/cm³, a tensile modulus of 850 MPa and an MFR of 0.45 g/10 min at 190 °C/5 kg. Ask Genesis Polymers Europe for the current technical data, ISO 9080 regression information and documentation relevant to your pipe system and market.
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE)
AdvyForm L0602 is a non-additivated LDPE for films requiring very low gel content. It is particularly relevant to surface-protection film and other applications where gel defects affect appearance or performance.
The grade combines the flexibility, heat-seal behaviour and processing characteristics of LDPE with a controlled low-gel profile. Its MFR is 0.75 g/10 min at 190 °C/2.16 kg and its density is 0.923 g/cm³. Applications include surface-protection film and selected packaging, hygiene, liner and shrink films.
For general-purpose LDPE film, compare AdvyForm L0602 with KeyForm L0600. They share the same nominal MFR and density; very low gel content is the distinguishing selection criterion for AdvyForm L0602.
Choosing an AdvyForm grade
Select by the property that determines the application. Consider AdvyForm P1330 for high stiffness, E1241 for a stiffness-impact balance, M1640 for transparent thin-wall packaging with low warpage, and R1002 or R1052 for cast-film applications. For industrial HDPE packaging, compare H0200 and H0202; for PE-RT Type II pipe, examine H0260. For low-gel LDPE surface-protection film, consider L0602.
Frequently asked questions about AdvyForm
Does every AdvyForm grade have higher stiffness? No. AdvyForm covers different demanding requirements. Some grades emphasise stiffness, others impact, clarity, flow, stress crack resistance or low gel content. Compare individual grade data against the application specification.
Which AdvyForm grade can be considered instead of talc-filled PP? AdvyForm E1241 is an option for selected applications requiring rigidity and a balance of impact performance. It is not a universal substitute: dimensions, heat resistance, creep, impact and processing must be assessed for the actual part.
Which AdvyForm PP grades support transparent packaging? AdvyForm M1640 is a metallocene option for thin-wall packaging. Random copolymer options include R1441 and R1640 for injection moulding, and R1002 and R1052 for cast film. Match the grade to the conversion process and required optical properties.
Which AdvyForm material is used for underfloor heating pipe? AdvyForm H0260 is the PE-RT Type II option. Confirm the current material documentation and the approvals required for the finished pipe system.
Is very low gel content the same as gel-free? No. AdvyForm L0602 is characterised by very low gel content. The acceptable defect level must be agreed against the finished film specification and evaluated under the converter's processing conditions.
