PP homopolymer
Metocene HM648T

Natural
Description
Metocene HM648T is a nucleated, metallocene-catalysed polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 60 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1640 MPa, and a density of 0.90 g/cm³, engineered for thin-wall injection moulding of food packaging with outstanding transparency and low odour. Metocene HM648T includes an antistatic agent and delivers low warpage with 3.4 kJ/m² notched Charpy impact, making it ideal for cups, lids, closures, cosmetics, and personal care containers.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Metocene HM648T, where its high 60 g/10 min MFR enables rapid fill of thin-wall cavities with reduced injection pressures and short cycle times. Metocene HM648T benefits from nucleation for fast crystallisation and consistent part dimensions, and its Vicat softening point of 140°C supports hot-fill packaging applications.
