PP homopolymer
Moplen HP400H

Natural
Description
Moplen HP400H is a low-flow polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 2.1 g/10 min and a flexural modulus of 1450 MPa, offering a strong balance of stiffness and ambient-temperature toughness for rigid packaging applications. This grade excels in thermoformed containers, tubs, medium-draw trays, blister packs, and small blow-moulded bottles for the housewares and caps and closures markets. Moplen HP400H is also suitable for sheet extrusion and compounding, making it a versatile workhorse for converters seeking consistent mechanical performance at 0.90 g/cm3 density.
Processing Techniques
Extrusion and thermoforming are the primary conversion routes for Moplen HP400H, where its low MFR provides excellent melt strength for sheet production and uniform wall distribution in thermoformed parts. When blow moulding with Moplen HP400H, maintain melt temperatures in the 200-230 degC range to take advantage of its good parison stability. The grade also compounds well, so converters can use Moplen HP400H as a reliable base resin for colour or filler masterbatch let-down.
