PP homopolymer
Moplen HP400R

Natural
Description
Moplen HP400R is a high-flow polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 25 g/10 min and a density of 0.90 g/cm3, purpose-built for fast-cycle injection moulding of furniture and houseware components. Moplen HP400R combines a tensile modulus of 1350 MPa with food contact suitability, making it an ideal choice for kitchen utensils, storage containers, and consumer goods that require regulatory compliance. With a Charpy notched impact strength of 3 kJ/m2 and ball indentation hardness of 70 MPa, Moplen HP400R delivers reliable rigidity and surface quality across a wide range of moulded parts.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the recommended process for Moplen HP400R, where its high fluidity of 25 g/10 min enables complete filling of complex and thin-walled moulds at moderate injection pressures. Moplen HP400R processes efficiently at melt temperatures of 210-250 degC with short cycle times, and its good flow behaviour reduces the risk of weld line visibility in multi-gated tools. The grade is also suitable for compounding as a base resin where high flow and food contact approval are required.
