PP homopolymer
Moplen HP420M

Natural
Description
Moplen HP420M is a polypropylene homopolymer engineered for biaxially oriented film (BOPP) production on tubular double-bubble and cast film lines, with an MFR of 8.0 g/10 min and a density of 0.900 g/cm3. This grade delivers a flexural modulus of 1350 MPa and a Vicat softening temperature of 153 degC, making Moplen HP420M well suited for BOPP packaging films, lamination films, and drinking straws. From food packaging for pasta, snacks, and confectionery to wrapping for flowers, books, and textiles, Moplen HP420M provides converters with the stiffness and processability needed for high-output flexible packaging lines.
Processing Techniques
BOPP and cast film extrusion are the primary processes for Moplen HP420M, where precise temperature control during orientation is critical to achieving target film properties such as clarity and tensile balance. When running Moplen HP420M on double-bubble lines, maintain consistent orientation ratios and monitor die cleanliness to prevent gel formation in thin-gauge films. Melt temperatures typically range from 220-260 degC, and converters should prioritise contamination control and uniform cooling to maximise optical quality with Moplen HP420M.
