PP homopolymer
Moplen HP500S

Natural
Description
Moplen HP500S is a high-flow polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 40 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 1700 MPa, designed as a stiff, highly fluid building block for technical compounds and injection moulding applications. With a flexural modulus of 1600 MPa, a Vicat softening temperature of 150 degC, and a density of 0.90 g/cm3, Moplen HP500S delivers the rigidity and flow characteristics that compounders require for filled and reinforced PP systems. This pelletized grade is particularly well suited as a homopolymer base for automotive, appliance, and industrial compound formulations.
Processing Techniques
Compounding and injection moulding are the key conversion methods for Moplen HP500S, where its exceptionally high flow of 40 g/10 min ensures thorough filler wetting and easy mould filling even in complex geometries. When using Moplen HP500S as a compound base, its high stiffness (1700 MPa tensile modulus) means formulations can tolerate significant filler loadings while maintaining mechanical performance. Typical processing temperatures for Moplen HP500S range from 210-250 degC, and its fast crystallisation supports short cycle times in injection moulding.
