PP homopolymer
Moplen HP500V

Natural
Description
Moplen HP500V is an ultra-high-flow polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 120 g/10 min and a density of 0.91 g/cm3, engineered for thin-walled injection moulding and as a base resin for glass-fibre-reinforced compounds including GMT and LFT formulations. Moplen HP500V combines a tensile modulus of 1400 MPa with good impact resistance (Charpy notched >=2 kJ/m2), delivering reliable dimensional stability in parts with long flow paths. This grade is free from nucleation agents, antistatics, and slip/antiblock additives, giving Moplen HP500V maximum formulation flexibility for compounders.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen HP500V, where its extraordinary fluidity of 120 g/10 min allows complete filling of thin-walled and long-flow-path moulds at reduced injection pressures and clamp forces. Moplen HP500V is particularly effective in long glass fibre thermoplastic (LFT) and glass mat thermoplastic (GMT) applications, where high flow ensures thorough fibre wet-out and uniform mechanical properties. Process at melt temperatures of 220-260 degC and consider lower mould temperatures (20-40 degC) to leverage the fast crystallisation behaviour of Moplen HP500V.
