PP homopolymer
Moplen HP501N

Natural
Description
Moplen HP501N is a polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 10 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 1500 MPa, formulated as a reliable base resin for technical compounding applications. With a flexural modulus of 1400 MPa, Charpy notched impact of 3 kJ/m2, and a Vicat softening point of 155 degC, Moplen HP501N offers compounders a consistent and well-characterised starting point for filled and reinforced PP systems. Its medium flow and strong thermal resistance make Moplen HP501N an efficient building block for automotive, appliance, and industrial compound formulations.
Processing Techniques
Compounding is the primary conversion method for Moplen HP501N, where its 10 g/10 min MFR facilitates good filler dispersion and uniform melt mixing on twin-screw extruders at standard PP homopolymer temperatures of 200-240 degC. Moplen HP501N adapts well to a range of filler types and loading levels, supporting formulations for talc-filled, calcium carbonate-filled, and glass-fibre-reinforced compounds. Ensure consistent feeder calibration and screw speed to maximise throughput and compound homogeneity when processing Moplen HP501N.
