PP homopolymer
Moplen HP504N

Natural
Description
Moplen HP504N is a polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 9.5 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1500 MPa, and a density of 0.90 g/cm3, optimised for technical compounding and injection moulding in the automotive and rigid packaging sectors. Moplen HP504N delivers good stiffness with a flexural modulus of 1500 MPa and a Charpy notched impact strength of 3.5 kJ/m2, providing the mechanical backbone that compounders need for mineral-filled and reinforced automotive parts. As a dependable homopolymer building block, Moplen HP504N offers consistent batch-to-batch quality for demanding compound formulations.
Processing Techniques
Compounding and injection moulding are the primary processes for Moplen HP504N, where its medium flow of 9.5 g/10 min supports thorough filler incorporation and reliable mould filling in automotive component production. When compounding with Moplen HP504N, its high stiffness allows significant talc or glass fibre loadings while maintaining the impact performance required for under-the-hood and interior trim applications. Moplen HP504N processes at standard PP melt temperatures of 210-250 degC, with mould temperatures adjusted to suit part geometry and surface finish requirements.
