PP homopolymer
Moplen HP561S

Natural
Description
Moplen HP561S is a high-flow polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 32 g/10 min, a density of 0.900 g/cm3, and a very narrow molecular weight distribution, designed with anti-gasfading stabilisation for partially-oriented yarn (POY), spunbond nonwovens, and extrusion coating applications. Moplen HP561S provides higher heat and chemical resistance than PE-based coatings, making it a strong alternative for extrusion coating of paper, paperboard, BOPP film, and metal foil in food and medical packaging. The elevated flow rate of Moplen HP561S enables higher line speeds and thinner coating gauges while maintaining barrier integrity and adhesion performance.
Processing Techniques
Extrusion coating and continuous filament spinning are the primary processes for Moplen HP561S, where corona treatment at approximately 10 W/ft2 is essential to achieve the substrate adhesion that PP coatings demand. When running Moplen HP561S for extrusion coating, an air gap of 7-9 inches and chill roll water at 17-27 degC provide the best balance of adhesion and coating uniformity. For POY and spunbond production, Moplen HP561S delivers high output rates and consistent fibre properties thanks to its narrow MWD and 32 g/10 min flow.
