PP homopolymer
Moplen HP561S HP

Natural
Description
Moplen HP561S HP is a high-performance polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 36 g/10 min, a density of 0.900 g/cm3, and a very narrow molecular weight distribution, formulated with anti-gasfading stabilisation for partially-oriented yarn (POY), spunbond nonwovens, and extrusion coating. Moplen HP561S HP provides superior heat resistance and chemical barrier properties compared to PE coatings, making it well suited for coating paper, paperboard, BOPP film, polyester film, and metal foil substrates in food and medical packaging. The highest flow rate in this series, Moplen HP561S HP enables maximum line speeds and the thinnest achievable coating gauges for cost-efficient high-volume production.
Processing Techniques
Extrusion coating and continuous filament spinning are the primary processes for Moplen HP561S HP, where corona treatment at approximately 10 W/ft2 is required to achieve adequate PP-to-substrate bond strength on paper and film substrates. When coating with Moplen HP561S HP, maintain an air gap of 7-9 inches and chill roll water temperature of 17-27 degC for optimal adhesion and smooth surface finish. For spunbond and POY applications, the 36 g/10 min MFR of Moplen HP561S HP supports the highest throughput on modern spinning lines while its narrow MWD ensures uniform fibre properties.
