PP random copolymer
Moplen RP261S

Natural
Description
Moplen RP261S is a polypropylene random copolymer with a narrow molecular weight distribution and anti-gas-fading stabilization, developed for textile filament and spunbond nonwoven production with an MFR of 30 g/10 min and a density of 0.90 g/cm³. This grade produces filaments with remarkable softness and flexibility, making it a strong fit for spunbonded nonwovens and extrusion coating of paper, paperboard, BOPP film, and metal foil. Moplen RP261S offers advantages over PE-based coatings through higher heat resistance, greater stiffness, and superior grease and chemical resistance at a lower density.
Processing Techniques
Continuous filament spinning, spunbond, and extrusion coating are the key processing methods for Moplen RP261S. For extrusion coating, corona treatment at approximately 10 W/ft² is critical for adhesion, with an air gap of 7-9 inches and chill roll water temperature of 17-27 °C producing optimal results. Moplen RP261S benefits from precise temperature uniformity across the die width to ensure consistent web formation and coating thickness.
