Purell ACP6541A

Natural
Description
Purell ACP6541A is a high-density polyethylene with outstanding environmental stress cracking resistance, a density of 0.954 g/cm³, a tensile modulus of 1100 MPa, and an MFR of 1.45 g/10 min at 190 °C/2.16 kg. Purpose-built for carbonated soft drink closures, mineral water caps, and collapsible tube shoulders, Purell ACP6541A delivers the stiffness-toughness balance that beverage closure designers require, with 11 kJ/m² Charpy notched impact at 23 °C and 4.5 kJ/m² even at -30 °C. Its exceptional organoleptic properties make Purell ACP6541A the preferred material for direct food and beverage contact in closure applications.
Processing Techniques
Injection molding and compression molding are the primary processes for Purell ACP6541A, and melt temperatures can be reduced by up to 40 °C compared to conventional HDPE closure grades without introducing filling issues. This lower processing temperature translates directly into energy savings and faster cycle times, which have been confirmed in industrial-scale trials with Purell ACP6541A. The grade also supports single-piece hinge cap designs, where its ESCR and impact retention are critical for long-term closure performance.
