Moplen EP1006

Natural
Description
Moplen EP1006 is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with an MFR of 2 g/10 min and a flexural modulus of 1350 MPa, delivering a balanced stiffness-to-impact profile that holds up well at sub-zero temperatures. Its heat-ageing-resistant additive package makes Moplen EP1006 particularly suitable for battery casings, automotive under-hood components, and industrial parts exposed to sustained thermal loads. The nucleated formulation also promotes low stress whitening and reduced warpage, giving moulded parts a clean, dimensionally stable finish.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the recommended process for Moplen EP1006, where the relatively low 2 g/10 min MFR favours moderate wall thicknesses and shorter flow-path geometries. Set barrel temperatures in the 210–240°C range and allow sufficient hold pressure and cooling time to take full advantage of the nucleation package, which accelerates crystallisation and supports faster cycle times. Moplen EP1006 can also be processed on extrusion lines for profile or sheet applications where heat resistance is critical.
