Description
Moplen EP249R is a nucleated polypropylene impact copolymer with a high MFR of 25 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 950 MPa, purpose-built for fast-cycle injection moulding of consumer products and rigid packaging. The nucleation package enables rapid crystallisation, helping converters achieve shorter cycle times in crates, housewares, opaque containers, and sports and leisure items. Moplen EP249R maintains reliable impact resistance even at low temperatures, making it a dependable choice for cold-chain storage crates and outdoor toys.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP249R, and its 25 g/10 min MFR supports efficient filling of multi-cavity moulds and thin-walled crate designs. Moplen EP249R benefits from the nucleation package with faster demoulding and improved surface quality; target melt temperatures of 210–240°C for best results.
