PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP300K

Natural
Description
Moplen EP300K is a low-flow polypropylene impact copolymer with an MFR of 4 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1200 MPa, and a notched Charpy impact strength of 13 kJ/m² at 23°C, retaining 6 kJ/m² at 0°C. This stiffness-toughness combination makes Moplen EP300K well suited for injection-moulded housewares, returnable crates, caps and closures, and thermoformed containers. With a tensile yield stress of 27 MPa and elongation at break exceeding 50%, Moplen EP300K delivers the durability that demanding consumer product and packaging applications require.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding and thermoforming are the recommended processes for Moplen EP300K, though the 4 g/10 min flow rate is best matched to moderate wall sections and shorter flow paths. When injection moulding Moplen EP300K, use melt temperatures in the 210–240°C range and apply sufficient packing pressure to exploit the high stiffness and impact balance. For thermoforming, sheet extrusion at controlled temperatures ensures consistent gauge and good formability.
