PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP340K

Natural
Description
Moplen EP340K is a nucleated polypropylene impact copolymer that delivers outstanding low-temperature toughness with a notched Charpy impact strength of 66 kJ/m² at 23°C and 13 kJ/m² at 0°C, alongside a tensile modulus of 1100 MPa and an MFR of 4 g/10 min. This makes Moplen EP340K the go-to grade for cold-storage crates, transport packaging, luggage, sports equipment, and toys that must endure rough handling and freezing conditions. With nucleation-enhanced crystallisation and a density of 0.90 g/cm³, Moplen EP340K offers converters fast cycle times without compromising impact performance.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding and thermoforming are the primary processes for Moplen EP340K, and the nucleation package shortens crystallisation time for improved productivity. When injection moulding Moplen EP340K, target melt temperatures of 210–240°C and maintain moderate mould temperatures to exploit the accelerated solidification. The 4 g/10 min MFR of Moplen EP340K is best suited to moderate wall sections; for thermoforming, extrude sheet at consistent gauge to preserve the exceptional low-temperature impact performance.
