PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP348U

Natural
Description
Moplen EP348U is a nucleated, antistatic polypropylene impact copolymer with an ultra-high MFR of 70 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1200 MPa, and a density of 0.90 g/cm³, purpose-built for high-speed thin-walled injection moulding. The antistatic formulation and nucleation of Moplen EP348U enable clean demoulding and fast cycles in margarine tubs, dairy packaging, ice-cream containers, lids, caps, flower pots, and laundry baskets. With a Charpy impact strength of 5.5 kJ/m² at 23°C and 4 kJ/m² at 0°C, Moplen EP348U maintains dependable toughness even in chilled-product packaging.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the designated process for Moplen EP348U, and the 70 g/10 min MFR allows rapid filling of long flow paths and very thin-walled cavities on high-speed machines. Moplen EP348U's nucleation accelerates crystallisation for shorter cooling times, while the built-in antistatic agent reduces dust attraction on finished parts. Process at melt temperatures of 210–240°C and maintain consistent mould temperatures to optimise dimensional stability and surface quality.
