Moplen EP400H

Natural
Description
Moplen EP400H is a polypropylene heterophasic copolymer developed for extrusion, featuring an MFR of 2.0 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1300 MPa, and a notched Charpy impact strength of 30 kJ/m² at 23°C (10 kJ/m² at 0°C). Moplen EP400H combines high stiffness with excellent creep resistance and dimensional stability, making it an ideal choice for thermoformed trays, corrugated board, extrusion blow-moulded containers, crates, and structural panels. Its tensile yield stress of 27 MPa and elongation at break above 50% ensure Moplen EP400H performs reliably under sustained mechanical loads.
Processing Techniques
Sheet and profile extrusion followed by thermoforming is the primary processing route for Moplen EP400H, and the low 2.0 g/10 min MFR provides the melt strength needed for stable sheet formation and corrugated-board production. Moplen EP400H also performs well in extrusion blow moulding, where its creep resistance translates into long-term dimensional stability of containers and panels. Target barrel temperatures of 200–230°C and ensure uniform die-lip settings to achieve consistent gauge across the sheet width.
