PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP445L

Natural
Description
Moplen EP445L is a nucleated polypropylene impact copolymer with slip and antistatic additives, an MFR of 6 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1500 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 8.5 kJ/m² at 23°C, purpose-designed for caps, closures, and rigid consumer packaging. The nucleation package in Moplen EP445L promotes fast crystallisation for shorter cycle times, while the built-in slip agent lowers the coefficient of friction for reliable capping-line performance. With high stress-cracking resistance and low stress whitening, Moplen EP445L also serves housewares, toys, and rigid packaging where surface quality and mechanical reliability are essential.
Processing Techniques
Compression moulding and injection moulding are the recommended processes for Moplen EP445L, and the nucleated formulation ensures rapid solidification for improved productivity on multi-cavity cap moulds. Moplen EP445L's integrated slip and antistatic additives facilitate smooth demoulding without the need for external release agents. Process at melt temperatures of 200–240°C and maintain uniform mould cooling to preserve the high ESCR and low stress-whitening characteristics of the grade.
