Description
Moplen EP448S is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with antistatic properties, delivering a high MFR of 44 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1400 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 6 kJ/m² at 23°C. Moplen EP448S is designed for high-throughput injection moulding of opaque containers, housewares, pails, crates, toys, and furniture where good organoleptic performance is important. The combination of nucleation and antistatic additivation in Moplen EP448S ensures fast cycles and clean part surfaces across consumer-product and rigid-packaging applications.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP448S, and the 44 g/10 min MFR fills multi-cavity moulds and long flow paths with ease, supporting high output rates. Moplen EP448S benefits from nucleation-driven fast crystallisation for reduced cooling time, and the built-in antistatic agent keeps finished parts free from dust accumulation. Target melt temperatures of 210–240°C and ensure even mould cooling for consistent wall thickness and dimensional accuracy.
