PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP500V

Natural
Description
Moplen EP500V is an ultra-high-flow polypropylene impact copolymer with an MFR of 100 g/10 min, a flexural modulus of 1100 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 5.0 kJ/m² at 23°C (3 kJ/m² at 0°C), designed for thin-walled injection moulding and compounding. Moplen EP500V fills extremely long flow paths with ease, making it a strong candidate for thin-walled food containers, housewares, toys, and as a base resin for glass-fibre-reinforced compounds. The grade's density of 0.90 g/cm³ and tensile yield stress of 24 MPa confirm the structural reliability of Moplen EP500V even at very high flow rates.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP500V, and the 100 g/10 min MFR enables confident production of articles with long flow paths and thin walls at reduced injection pressures. Moplen EP500V is also an effective base resin for compounding operations, including GMT and long-glass-fibre-reinforced thermoplastics, where high flow facilitates fibre wetting. Recommended melt temperatures are 200–240°C; keep hold pressure and cooling time tuned to avoid sink marks on larger cross-sections.
