Moplen EP540N

Natural
Description
Moplen EP540N is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with an MFR of 12 g/10 min, a flexural modulus of 1350 MPa, and a tensile modulus of 1400 MPa, providing a strong stiffness-to-impact balance for injection-moulded consumer and automotive parts. Moplen EP540N is widely applied in housewares, caps and closures, toys, and as a compounding base for automotive components. With a tensile yield stress of 27 MPa and a density of 0.90 g/cm³, Moplen EP540N delivers the rigidity and dimensional stability that both rigid-packaging and technical-compound applications demand.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the recommended process for Moplen EP540N, and the 12 g/10 min MFR comfortably fills medium-complexity moulds used in cap, closure, and houseware production. Moplen EP540N's nucleation enhances crystallisation speed, enabling shorter cooling times and more productive cycle rates. Process at 210–240°C melt temperature and apply adequate hold pressure to capitalise on the high flexural modulus (1350 MPa) without introducing warpage.
