Moplen EP540P

Natural
Description
Moplen EP540P is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with an MFR of 15 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1300 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 7 kJ/m² at 23°C (4.5 kJ/m² at 0°C), tailored for injection-moulded consumer goods and rigid packaging. Moplen EP540P is a proven choice for luggage, housewares, opaque containers, and caps and closures, where its 28 MPa tensile yield stress ensures reliable structural performance. The nucleation package in Moplen EP540P accelerates crystallisation for faster demoulding and consistent part quality.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP540P, with the 15 g/10 min MFR supporting efficient filling of multi-cavity and moderate-flow-length tools. Moplen EP540P's nucleation promotes rapid solidification, reducing cycle times on cap, closure, and container moulds. Target melt temperatures of 210–240°C and maintain balanced mould cooling to preserve the stiffness and impact properties of the finished parts.
