Moplen EP548S

Natural
Description
Moplen EP548S is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with antistatic properties, featuring a high MFR of 44 g/10 min, a flexural modulus of 1500 MPa, and a tensile modulus of 1550 MPa, targeting high-speed thin-walled injection moulding. Moplen EP548S is widely used for opaque containers, housewares, toys, and thin-walled food-packaging items such as margarine tubs and yoghurt pots. With a tensile yield stress of 28 MPa and 30% elongation at break, Moplen EP548S provides the rigidity and resilience that fast-cycle consumer packaging demands.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP548S, and the 44 g/10 min MFR enables rapid filling of thin-walled and long-flow-path cavities on high-speed machines. Moplen EP548S benefits from nucleation-driven fast crystallisation for shortened cooling times and improved productivity. Target melt temperatures of 210–240°C and rely on the built-in antistatic agent to keep finished containers dust-free without secondary treatment.
