Moplen EP548T

Natural
Description
Moplen EP548T is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with antistatic additivation, offering a high MFR of 48 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1350 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 4 kJ/m² at 23°C. Moplen EP548T is designed for thin-walled injection moulding of margarine tubs, housewares, caps, closures, and opaque containers in the consumer-products and rigid-packaging segments. The 29 MPa tensile yield stress and built-in antistatic properties of Moplen EP548T support efficient, high-throughput production with clean part surfaces.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP548T, and the 48 g/10 min MFR fills thin-walled cavities quickly on high-speed machines. Moplen EP548T's nucleation ensures rapid crystallisation for shorter cycles, and the antistatic formulation eliminates static-induced dust accumulation on finished packaging. Process at 210–240°C melt temperatures with well-balanced mould cooling to maximise the stiffness advantage (1350 MPa tensile modulus) while maintaining good impact performance.
