PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP548V

Natural
Description
Moplen EP548V is a nucleated polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with antistatic properties and an ultra-high MFR of 100 g/10 min, combined with a tensile modulus of 1450 MPa, a tensile yield stress of 28 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 4 kJ/m² at 23°C. Moplen EP548V is engineered for the most demanding thin-walled injection moulding applications, including margarine tubs, dairy packaging, laundry bins, and storage systems with very long flow paths. The nucleation and antistatic package in Moplen EP548V ensures fast solidification and dust-free surfaces on housewares and food-packaging articles alike.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP548V, and the 100 g/10 min MFR enables filling of extremely long flow paths and ultra-thin walls at lower injection pressures. Moplen EP548V's nucleation accelerates crystallisation for the shortest possible cooling times, which is critical in high-output thin-wall packaging operations. Process at 210–240°C melt temperatures and maintain consistent mould temperature to deliver the high stiffness (1450 MPa) and good dimensional stability across the production run.
