PP impact copolymer
Moplen EP549P

Natural
Description
Moplen EP549P is a fast-crystallisation polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with antistatic additivation, featuring an MFR of 15 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 1450 MPa, and a Charpy impact strength of 9 kJ/m² at 23°C that holds at 6.5 kJ/m² at 0°C and 5.5 kJ/m² at -20°C. Moplen EP549P is an excellent fit for injection-moulded housewares, garden furniture, cylindrical detergent containers, and returnable crates that require stiffness, toughness at sub-zero temperatures, and reliable demoulding. The fast-crystallisation behaviour of Moplen EP549P supports shorter cycle times and consistent part quality in high-throughput production.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the recommended process for Moplen EP549P, and the 15 g/10 min MFR allows straightforward filling of furniture, crate, and container moulds. Moplen EP549P crystallises rapidly, reducing cooling time and improving productivity on multi-cavity tools. Process at 210–240°C melt temperatures and take advantage of the antistatic formulation for clean part ejection and reduced static charge during stacking and palletising.
