Moplen EP648V

Natural
Description
Moplen EP648V is a nucleated, ultra-high-flow polypropylene heterophasic copolymer with antistatic additivation, featuring an MFR of 100 g/10 min, the highest tensile modulus in its family at 1600 MPa, and a tensile yield stress of 30 MPa. Moplen EP648V is engineered for very thin-walled injection moulding of margarine tubs, dairy packaging, laundry bins, and storage systems where maximum stiffness and long flow-path capability must be combined. The built-in antistatic agent and nucleation package of Moplen EP648V deliver fast cycle times and clean, dust-free surfaces on finished containers and housewares.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen EP648V, and the 100 g/10 min MFR fills extremely thin-walled and long-flow-path cavities at lower injection pressures than conventional grades. Moplen EP648V's nucleation ensures the fastest possible crystallisation, which is critical for maximising output on high-speed thin-wall packaging lines. Process at 210–240°C melt temperatures; the very high stiffness (1600 MPa) means wall-thickness reduction is achievable while maintaining container rigidity.
