Description
Moplen HP500N is a general-purpose polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 12 g/10 min and a flexural modulus of 1480 MPa, offering a strong combination of flow and stiffness for injection moulding and blow moulding of consumer products and rigid packaging. Moplen HP500N is suitable for food contact and UL listed (file E31765), making it an excellent choice for housewares, furniture components, and food-safe containers. With a deflection temperature under load of 97 degC and Izod notched impact of 25 J/m, Moplen HP500N meets the demands of both performance-driven and compliance-sensitive applications.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding and injection blow moulding are the primary processes for Moplen HP500N, where its 12 g/10 min MFR provides reliable cavity fill at moderate pressures and short cycle times. Moplen HP500N also works well as a compounding base resin, and its good dimensional stability supports tight-tolerance moulded parts in furniture and houseware applications. Recommended melt temperatures range from 210-250 degC, with mould temperatures of 20-50 degC for optimal surface finish when processing Moplen HP500N.
