Description

Moplen HP501H is a polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 2.1 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 1450 MPa, delivering a well-balanced stiffness-to-impact profile with a Charpy notched impact strength of 8 kJ/m2 for injection and compression moulding applications. Moplen HP501H is engineered for caps, closures, sprayers, housewares, and furniture, where its high environmental stress cracking resistance and excellent living hinge performance set it apart in the consumer products and rigid packaging markets. With UL listing under file E31765 and a ball indentation hardness of 72 MPa, Moplen HP501H is a proven choice for demanding closure and container designs.

Processing Techniques

Injection moulding, compression moulding, and thermoforming are all suitable processes for Moplen HP501H, with its low MFR of 2.1 g/10 min providing the melt strength needed for uniform wall distribution in blow moulded containers. When moulding caps and closures with Moplen HP501H, its strong hinge performance supports repeated snap-open and flip-top actions without cracking, while its ESCR ensures long-term resistance to household chemicals. Moplen HP501H processes well at melt temperatures of 200-240 degC and mould temperatures of 20-50 degC for balanced crystallinity and cycle efficiency.
