PP homopolymer
Moplen HP501L

Natural
Description
Moplen HP501L is a polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 6 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 1500 MPa, offering a balanced stiffness-impact profile with Charpy notched impact of 4.5 kJ/m2 for caps, closures, and houseware injection moulding. Moplen HP501L features high environmental stress cracking resistance and strong living hinge performance, making it a reliable selection for sprayers, flip-top closures, and consumer product packaging. With a ball indentation hardness of 74 MPa and tensile strain at break exceeding 50%, Moplen HP501L accommodates both structural demands and repeated mechanical action in rigid packaging and consumer goods.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding and thermoforming are the primary conversion routes for Moplen HP501L, where its 6 g/10 min MFR provides a practical balance between mould filling speed and melt strength for closures and containers. Moplen HP501L is particularly effective in living hinge applications, where its combination of stiffness and elongation at break supports thousands of flex cycles without failure. Process Moplen HP501L at melt temperatures of 210-250 degC and mould temperatures of 20-40 degC to optimise crystallinity and surface quality.
