PP homopolymer
Moplen HP548N

Natural
Description
Moplen HP548N is a nucleated polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 11 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 1800 MPa, featuring antistatic additivation for injection moulding of caps, closures, containers, and housewares. Moplen HP548N combines its high stiffness with a Charpy notched impact of 4 kJ/m2 and a ball indentation hardness of 71 MPa, delivering enhanced productivity through faster crystallisation and shorter cycle times compared to non-nucleated grades. The built-in antistatic package in Moplen HP548N eases demoulding and prevents dust accumulation on finished parts in consumer products and rigid packaging applications.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary process for Moplen HP548N, where its nucleated formulation accelerates crystallisation and allows cycle time reductions that boost production throughput. Moplen HP548N runs efficiently at melt temperatures of 210-250 degC, and its antistatic additives reduce ejection force requirements and eliminate the need for external antistatic sprays during moulding. The high tensile modulus of 1800 MPa enables Moplen HP548N to support thin-wall designs in closures and containers without sacrificing structural integrity.
