PP homopolymer
Moplen HP548R

Natural
Description
Moplen HP548R is a nucleated polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 23 g/10 min and a tensile modulus of 1600 MPa, featuring antistatic additivation for high-speed injection moulding of caps, closures, furniture, containers, and housewares. With a Vicat softening temperature of 154 degC and Charpy notched impact of 2.7 kJ/m2, Moplen HP548R delivers the stiffness and thermal performance needed for rigid packaging and consumer product applications. The higher flow rate of Moplen HP548R compared to its lower-MFR counterpart enables faster fill of complex and thin-walled moulds while maintaining good mechanical properties.
Processing Techniques
Injection moulding is the primary conversion method for Moplen HP548R, where its nucleated structure and 23 g/10 min MFR combine to deliver rapid crystallisation, short cycle times, and excellent mould-filling behaviour. Moplen HP548R processes well at melt temperatures of 210-250 degC, and its built-in antistatic package facilitates clean demoulding and dust-free storage of finished parts. When moulding thin-walled closures and containers, Moplen HP548R supports reduced injection pressure requirements and improved productivity on multi-cavity tools.
