PP random copolymer
Moplen RP248U

Natural
Description
Moplen RP248U is a high-flow clarified polypropylene random copolymer with antistatic additivation, boasting an MFR of 60 g/10 min, a tensile modulus of 910 MPa, and Charpy notched impact of 5.9 kJ/m² at 23 °C. Purpose-built for thin-wall housewares, transparent containers, and consumer products, Moplen RP248U enables complex mold geometries and ultra-thin sections without sacrificing the transparency or impact strength that end users demand. Its 0.90 g/cm³ density and high elongation at break make it a versatile choice across rigid packaging applications.
Processing Techniques
Injection molding is the primary process for Moplen RP248U, where the exceptionally high 60 g/10 min MFR allows rapid filling of intricate, thin-wall cavity designs with minimal injection pressure. Moplen RP248U benefits from lower melt temperatures compared to standard random copolymers, reducing energy consumption and enabling shorter cycle times. The antistatic and clarified formulation delivers parts that demold cleanly and maintain outstanding visual clarity straight from the press.
