PP homopolymer
Moplen HP456J

Natural
Description
Moplen HP456J is a polypropylene homopolymer with an MFR of 3.4 g/10 min, a density of 0.900 g/cm3, and a tensile modulus of 1400 MPa, formulated with a low water-carry-over additive system for tape, raffia, and sheet extrusion. This versatile grade serves a broad range of markets including textile, flexible and rigid packaging, industrial packaging, and compounding, with applications spanning intermediate bulk containers, general sheet extrusion, and strapping. Moplen HP456J provides the stiffness and processability that converters need for flat-die extrusion, thermoforming, and tape production.
Processing Techniques
Tape and raffia extrusion, flat-die sheet extrusion, and thermoforming are all proven conversion routes for Moplen HP456J, where its moderate flow rate balances melt strength with ease of processing. Moplen HP456J benefits from its low water-carry-over formulation, reducing moisture-related surface defects during high-speed extrusion without the need for aggressive predrying. For thermoforming applications, Moplen HP456J offers a good processing window and its 1400 MPa modulus ensures adequate part rigidity in finished containers and trays.
