AdvyForm H0880 is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for injection and compression moulding of caps, closures and tube shoulders. The supplier describes a balance of stiffness, toughness and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR).

Description

AdvyForm H0880 is an HDPE resin that the supplier describes as easy to process on injection moulding and compression moulding equipment. Its balance of stiffness, toughness and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) is directed at closures for sparkling water and carbonated soft drinks (CSD), other food and non-food caps and closures, and tube shoulders. It is formulated with an additive package intended to optimise the combination of organoleptic properties and opening torque. Typical values include a melt flow rate of 2.1 g/10 min (190 °C/2.16 kg), a density of 0.953 g/cm³ and an FNCT of 4 h (ISO 16770; 6.0 MPa, 6.6% Dehyton PL, 50 °C).

Processing Techniques

Supplier-listed processing methods: compression moulding; injection moulding. The TDS gives recommended melt temperatures of 190 °C to 230 °C. Determine processing conditions for the intended application and required properties.
