KeyForm
Description
KeyForm is Velogy's polymer family for everyday performance, bringing together polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Genesis Polymers Europe supplies KeyForm grades for rigid and flexible packaging, consumer products, industrial containers, fibres and agricultural applications.
The family covers different polymers and processing technologies. Select the individual grade according to flow, stiffness, impact strength, optical properties and additive package. KeyForm includes both general-purpose materials and grades developed for specific applications, including thin-wall packaging, metallisable film and industrial drums.
For established Velogy grades, the change to the KeyForm name does not change the material's properties or specifications. Genesis Polymers Europe can help identify the corresponding grade and provide the relevant product documentation.
Polypropylene (PP)
KeyForm polypropylene covers homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers for injection moulding, film, fibre, sheet extrusion and thermoforming. Applications include food containers, housewares, caps and closures, crates, toys, furniture components, corrugated board, strapping, raffia and nonwovens.
PP homopolymers provide rigidity and heat resistance for moulded parts and extruded products. Random copolymers balance transparency, toughness and processing performance for clear packaging. Impact copolymers contain a dispersed rubber phase that improves toughness, including at low temperatures on selected grades.
Selected KeyForm PP grades contain nucleating, clarifying, antistatic or process-stabilising additives. These help converters match cycle time, surface appearance and dimensional requirements to the application. The additive package is grade-specific.
Homopolymers for injection moulding and compounding
KeyForm P0600 is a low-flow (2 g/10 min) homopolymer for housewares, opaque containers and caps and closures, with extrusion and thermoforming applications. KeyForm P1004 is a mid-flow base polymer for compounding. KeyForm P1340 is a nucleated, antistatic injection-moulding grade for lids, closures, furniture and household goods. KeyForm P1640 offers higher flow (53 g/10 min) for thin-wall containers (TWIM) and fast injection-moulding applications.
Random copolymers for transparent packaging
KeyForm R1440 (40 g/10 min) supports transparent injection-moulded packaging and consumer products where appearance and organoleptic performance matter. KeyForm R1840 extends the range with very high flow (100 g/10 min), clarification and antistatic additivation for thin-wall packaging. It combines transparency with low warpage and offers potential for lower processing temperatures and shorter cycles, depending on the mould and operating conditions.
Impact copolymers for containers and sheet
KeyForm E1340 is a nucleated impact copolymer (21 g/10 min) for household articles, containers, toys and thin-wall parts. KeyForm E0800 (4 g/10 min) supports injection moulding and thermoforming of containers. KeyForm E1230 and KeyForm E1641 provide options for closures, housewares and opaque packaging at different flow levels. KeyForm E1841 offers very high flow (100 g/10 min) for thin-wall injection moulding.
KeyForm E0530 is an extrusion and thermoforming grade (1.3 g/10 min) for corrugated sheets, panels, profiles and related applications where stiffness and impact resistance are both important.
Film, fibre and nonwoven grades
KeyForm P0601 and KeyForm P0702 are homopolymers for biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film, including metallisable structures. KeyForm P0702 supports clear, glossy monolayer and coextruded films (3 g/10 min) without slip or antiblocking agents and without intentionally added calcium stearate.
KeyForm P1002 and KeyForm P1050 offer film options for food packaging and related applications. KeyForm P0510 supports tapes, strapping and monofilaments. KeyForm P0810 and KeyForm P1110 cover filament yarn applications, while KeyForm P1310 (25 g/10 min), formulated with an antigasfading stabilisation package, supports fibres and nonwovens. For specialist ultra-high-flow meltblown PP, explore AdvyForm.
High-density polyethylene (HDPE)
KeyForm HDPE covers extrusion blow moulding, injection moulding, film, tape and monofilament. Applications range from bottles, jerry cans and industrial drums to closures, housewares, agricultural netting, geotextiles, ropes and yarns. Grades are selected for the required balance of stiffness, impact performance, environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and processability.
Industrial containers and L-ring drums
KeyForm H0401 is an HDPE extrusion blow-moulding grade for bottles, jerry cans and industrial packaging. Its broad molecular weight distribution supports a balance of processing, stiffness and stress crack resistance. KeyForm H0400 provides a higher-density option for rigid bottles and containers made by extrusion or injection blow moulding.
KeyForm H0100 is designed for extrusion blow-moulded L-ring drums and industrial packaging, including drums for dangerous goods. It combines stiffness, low-temperature toughness and stress crack resistance. Its density is 0.954 g/cm³ and its high-load melt flow rate is 2.6 g/10 min at 190 °C/21.6 kg. These characteristics support stable parison formation and robust drum design. Approval of the finished dangerous-goods packaging remains specific to the container design and its testing.
Injection moulding, film and textile applications
KeyForm H1200 is a high-flow HDPE grade for closures, crates, housewares, toys and technical injection mouldings. Its melt flow rate is 8 g/10 min at 190 °C/2.16 kg.
KeyForm H0301 is an HDPE for thin and thick blown film. It combines stiffness and impact performance with bubble stability and low gel levels. KeyForm H0301 supports the production of films with a broad conversion window, good lay-flat properties and good roll configuration. Applications include lamination and release films, artificial paper, labels, bags and heavy-duty packaging.
KeyForm H0520, KeyForm H0500 and KeyForm H0501 are tape and netting grades for agriculture and textiles, including round-bale nets, raffia and geotextile applications. They use a relatively narrow molecular weight distribution; lubricant and antioxidant packages vary by grade.
KeyForm H0620 and KeyForm H0521 serve monofilament applications such as yarns and netting, with H0620 also used for ropes. Both have a density of 0.957 g/cm³; their melt flow rates at 190 °C/2.16 kg are 1.0 and 0.6 g/10 min respectively, offering different processing and drawing characteristics.
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE)
KeyForm LDPE supports blown and cast film, shrink packaging, lamination and selected coating, moulding and compounding applications. The branched polymer structure provides the melt strength, flexibility, moisture barrier and heat-seal performance valued in flexible packaging.
Applications include bags and pouches, food packaging, hygiene films, industrial liners, shrink film, stretch hoods, agricultural film and lamination layers. Grade selection balances bubble stability, optical quality, toughness, stiffness and line output.
Non-additivated LDPE grades
KeyForm L0400 provides high melt strength for stretch hoods, heavy-duty packaging, shrink film and liners. KeyForm L0401 combines high melt strength with optical quality for shrink films, food packaging and selected bottles and vials. Both have an MFR of 0.25 g/10 min at 190 °C/2.16 kg; their densities are 0.923 and 0.927 g/cm³ respectively.
KeyForm L0600 (0.75 g/10 min) offers balanced optical and mechanical properties for general-purpose packaging, bags and film. KeyForm L0601 provides a higher-density option for lamination, shrink and surface-protection films. KeyForm L0800 offers higher flow (1.9 g/10 min) for blown and cast film, including bags, pouches and hygiene applications.
KeyForm L1100 extends the range to an MFR of 4 g/10 min at 190 °C/2.16 kg. It combines processing performance, optical quality and heat sealing for film, protective coatings and selected injection-moulding applications. KeyForm L1101 provides another 4 g/10 min option, with a density of 0.928 g/cm³, for blown film.
Additivated LDPE grades

KeyForm L0850 offers higher flow for converters balancing mechanical performance with output. KeyForm L0651 (0.9 g/10 min) is a slip-additivated option for lamination and shrink film.
Where very low gel content is the primary requirement, compare these grades with AdvyForm L0602.
Choosing a KeyForm grade
Start with the polymer and conversion process, then narrow the selection by end-use performance. For stiff PP mouldings, consider KeyForm P1340 or P1640. For transparent thin-wall packaging, consider KeyForm R1840. For impact-resistant containers, compare the KeyForm E grades. For HDPE drums, examine KeyForm H0100; for monofilaments, compare H0620 and H0521. For LDPE shrink and stretch-hood applications, compare L0400 and L0401; for higher-flow film and coating requirements, consider L1100.
Food-contact status and other regulatory requirements must be checked for the selected grade and application. Genesis Polymers Europe can provide technical data sheets and help obtain the relevant producer documentation.
